Hey, I been thinking about proposal for 2 years now, but I wanted to wait till after she got out of High School. My GF and I has been dating for 3 years going on 4 in September. I''m going on 20, and she''s 19.We have been talking about marriage, which means we have been looking at a few rings. I told her if I''m going to get a ring I just want to make sure that you are going to like it. Plus, later on in life I was planning on upgrading. But, I wanted it 2 be Romantic, and I want to put a lot of thought into it. So what I''m thinking is to put some styles together(within budget), and maybe make her a ring, and when I do propose she could pick out of the few rings that I have put together.

So, I found this website yesterday, and I looking for any advice. Plus, I have been thinking about buying a ring online, but I haven''t research any. So any websites to reliable dealers. I was hoping to find a ring around $500ish.
So, please post

Thanks for reading and God Bless.

Are you just wanting a simple gold band? A band with diamonds? Or were you hoping to get a solitaire setting with the $500? What shape diamond, if you''re wanting one? If we have these answers we can better point you to something that''ll suit your needs.

On the top of every page you''ll see a link entitled "Resources". On that page are many PS vendors with websites and pictures etc.

I just wanted to add, I think it''s sweet you want to do all the legwork and present her with several ideas. Good luck!

Check out Cardow.com

I bought a ring from them when I was in St Thomas and they had quite a few diamond rings (mostly pave) around your price range.

Hope this helps!

I personal like http://www.lovjewelry.com/rings/1-3_Carat_Diamond_10kt_Yellow_and_White__Bridal_Set.jpg

I love the fact that the diamond is being surrounded by other diamonds. But any style is fine. I will print them all off and hide the prices,so a wide variety is fine

I will check out the "resources", and thank you for commenting..

You might get some ideas for styles in your price range here : http://www.heavenlytreasures.com/engagement-rings.html

I think the idea of gathering choices and letting her decide is a great one.

However...you definitely have some homework to do.

1. Look at what color jewelry she typically wears. Most women prefer either white or yellow jewelry, and want their engagement ring to match.

2. What style jewelry does she wear? The link you posted is a very specific style. Women either really like that style or really dislike it. It isn''t safe to buy that ring unless you are confident it is up her alley.

3. Here http://www.heavenlytreasures.com/r4216.html is a ring in your price range that is a simpler style (that you could add to the one you found) to give her a broad range of choices.

I''m probably biased because I''ve always wanted one, but I''d go for a solitare. That way you can devote more of your budget to the stone itself without spending as much on the setting. A solitare is classic and traditional. You can always use the same stone and reset it into a more expensive setting later.
