OK, I''ve researched this site for several months and am considering two stones right now, I would love the groups opinion:

Idealscope looks "very good" to "excellent"

Both stones are nearly the same cost. Both appear eye-clean. Is the decrease in face-up size worth the H & A optics, brilliance, fire, scintillation, and color improvement for the 1.34 H-SI2?

What is your preference? Ladies your opion would be great.

Thanks,

Joe in California

BTW, I''m an engineer by trade and I love the technical side of diamonds along with the beauty of course :)

Can you post or link to the IS image for the second stone? It looks ok my the numbers.

In most cases I would think a SI1 will look cleaner than a SI2, especially when magnified.

I assume the H SI2 listed above is eye-clean, am I correct in making that assumption?

Of course, I would love to increase the size and clarity, but that is increasing the cost by $1000 or $2000 which is already pushing my budget as it is.

My real question is as I mentioned in my original post:

Is the H & A optics with outstanding Brilliance, Fire, and Scintillation & the improvement in color to H worth dropping to 1.34 carat (7.12" DIA) as opposed to having a GIA EX larger stone 1.56 carat (7.45" DIA) in I color with no guarantee of H & A optics and the outstanding performance previously listed????????

Here is the image of the larger stone for comparison:
