Couldn’t resist this setting in 14k white gold, but now I need to find a 10 mm stone for it. I’d prefer to avoid synthetics and my budget is embarrassingly low, so high end gems are out. I’d thought maybe to find a crazy cut quartz of some color, or an agate, or peridot or.... hmmmm.

This is a non-serious fun ring, so anything goes! Does anyone have options of what to put in it?

Amethysts are easy to find in 10mm, come in various shades from purple to pink and are budget friendly. I seem to be collecting them!

For a little more, there are some garnets of that size in the 200-300 range.

Garnets, rose quartz, carnelian, amethyst, or even rutilated quartz would all look awesome and are very budget friendly.
What a sturdy looking setting that is simultaneously feminine in appearance!

Hope you'll post pictures of it finished (:

Ammy is the way to go as you can get a large quality stone compared to other gems. You could do a smokey topaz or a citrine too.
