Hi all.

I have been away from the forum for quite awhile, having really loved it here before and read the threads every single day. I am back because I am assisting my cousin find an ER. He does not have much cash. Thus, the budget is approx. $3,000. He is fine with the secondary market. The cut must be princess. And he prefers platinum, but I imagine white gold would work as well. A whole wedding set, of course, would be preferable. He is not a cut nut like myself, and I have very little knowledge of fancies. I like the exactitude and certainty you can get with rounds, and when I bought my wedding set on the secondary market, I got an AMAZING deal on a Ritani endless love platinum set with an AGS 000 E, VS1. I do not think he is going to be as picky as me though. And I feel he is likely open to various settings. I'd just like to get him some options. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. I am going to start going through all of the regular secondary market haunts as well (pre-loved forum, DB, Loupetroupe, etc.) but any guidance you might have would be great. Thanks!

Jeff

Thanks so much for your suggestions Rocky! They are immensely helpful. I forwarded them to my cousin. He is just in the initial stages of choosing what he/she wants, so having different style settings to present to him is very helpful. Thanks again!

Not sure this is what you're looking for, but Oak Gem is a very good secondary market dealer. They have others that may work too.

Good luck!

Thanks RandG. That is a very nice ring. And I LOVE the fact that it is AGSL certed and HOF. I am going to talk with him all about the importance of an excellent cut and a dependable cert (I only want to guide him to GIA and AGSL if possible). It also appears to be a rather expensive setting. He said that she prefers solitaires, but I have a strong suspicion that she might also like halos. And it gives more finger presence, which is awesome on a budget. I will send it along to him. Thanks again!
