Need a appraiser in Houston

I need to find a appraiser in Houston Texas. I recently lost my wedding band and had to buy a new one. thank god it was just a plain white gold band which only cost $150. However this started to make my wife and I think. Is her ring appraised correctly.


Can you all do me 2 favors. first recomend a few people in the houston area. second tell me if you think my current appraisal is good enough and getting a new one is a waste of money?

find a similar diamond and that setting and price it out at blueNile if that is where you got the diamond if its under your appraisal by 20-30% then your good too go.

I like too insure at around 20%-30% over cost, then check it again in a year or so.

I had a great appraiser in Houston. I went with Alfred Lastovica Jewerly Appraisals. He was great! He took pictures, printouts, everything and was only 100.00! That was with the stone loose and THEN I broght it back in the setting. So I thought it was a great deal. His address is 6222 Richmond Ave, Houston TX
He is on the 8th floor, I don''t remember the suite number though. His number is 713-783-0333. Everywhere else wanted like 250.00 and I would have put that towards a diamond before paying it to someone to check out my diamond!

I''m still unsure if it is worth the $100-200. Can any of the experts look at the the certs and give a ball park amount you feel the ring is worth.

i guess i just want to make sure a new appraisal will be more then my current.
