LGK, I love your story about Scott. So sweet.

Haven, our neighborhood sidewalks are covered in chalk. You can find a pickup game of baseball or kickball happening on the block behind ours at least once a week, there are always people out riding their bikes/scooters and kids being pulled around in wagons. Neighborhood block parties and family picnics in our local park are frequent events too. We moved here to provide our daughter this "simple" sort of environment to grow up in. I never see our neighborhood teens playing with electronics; I'm sure they do, but they also spend a ton of time outside goofing off with each other. I absolutely love it.

Yeah, I've kinda come to the general conclusion that if you don't have the weird neighbors you must *be* the weird neighbors.

Trapper pees outside all the time. Not out front, but in the back where it's fenced in. We had to cure him of just opening up the patio doors and peeing out onto the back deck. Now he just says "I'm going to potty on your flowers mommy" and off he goes.

Well, at least the flowers are getting a bit of nitrogen, huh?

I know that there are boys who can't be cured of this behavior. My dad and my brother still do this in their backyard! I really.don't.get.it!


I rather enjoy our modern day invention called "the toilet!"

I don't really have any interesting neighbors right now, but a friend of mine lives in a condo building closer to downtown and has a neighbor whose ENTIRE condo is done in Betty Boop memorabilia!!
