there is a small 'natural' inclusion on this princess cut diamond... should i be concerned about it????

(green in color as per GIA certificate)

is it adding unnecessary weight???

diamond is 1:03 ct... with measurements 5.62mm x 5.55 x 4.04mm. (medium to slightly thick)

com'on ppl... help me out. :cheeky:

Pic please? I don't think I've ever seen a green inclusion.

I believe that green means it's a surface reaching inclusion.

I believe he means how it was plotted on the report, instead of being indicated in red it's indicated in green. I think that's what he means...

haha... yes thats what i mean

Depends. If that's the plot, the whole plot, and nothing but the plot, the natural is the grade-setting inclusion. If we're talking VS1 or above, I wouldn't worry about it a bit - just means there's a little bit of "rind" or natural unpolished surface on the girdle. I'd probably even be comfortable with a VS2, though the placement right on the corner would make me ask the vendor for their opinion. Anything lower? I'd pass - too much of a setting risk.

=) Good, I thought so. I would have the diamond evaluated though since it's on those fragile corners and could possible be a durability issue. Is there a reason that you are only shopping from Blue Nile? I think this process could be a lot easier for you if you spread your wings a bit and searched with some other vendors that could give you more information on the stones than your getting now. I know that you've started a lot of threads looking for guidance on several different stones, but unfortunately the responses have been limited because of the lack of information you are able to provide. If you're truly looking for additional guidance I would really consider working with someone that can at least give you magnified images of the stone that you're considering, it would certainly take a lot of the frustration, and uncertainty out of the process.

 how would you know, I saw the checkerboard diamond that Kenny posted, and browsing reports the other day I came across two with 'patches of color' and wondered what that would lool like. You just never know what might pop up around here!! :twirl:
