natural fancy

anyone marketing toward investors for natural fancies say prices have never gone down. what are your thoughts on this. You know. housing was never supposed to go down etc etc etc.

maybe true until one day they develop a technique to create a fancy that is indistinguishable from the natural stone... Not impossible given certain types of D IF stones are now flag as origin suspected.

To the private collector, unless your stone is one of those named stones whose location are closely tracked, even if the market price stays the same you will take a loss as no vendor will buy it without doing lots of work, such as polishing it up, sending it to be regraded, etc... and they will want to make a profit out of the transactions.
