Narrowed it down to the following...

I''ve narrowed my search down to the following:

They are both very similarly priced...My priorities are: Brightness and Fire, Size, Color, and Clarity (In that order)....Which should I go with??

Hmmm, tough call.

The JA stone looks very nice, and hits the 2 ct. mark.

However, while the GOG stone is smaller, it''s not by a real noticable difference, and it''s a color grade and clarity grade higher, for not an extreme amount more. And it''s branded, so I know how tight it''s cut.

They''re both great, you couldn''t go wrong with either one, but if it were me, I''d get the GOG stone.

OK, so re-reading your email I see that you have prioritised size over colour and clarity.. so I would suggest that you buy the James Allen stone, as it is bigger.

I was having a really hard time choosing - but if I were trying to decide for myself, I think the fact that the 2nd stone is over 2cts would clinch it for me.

They are both absolutely lovely diamonds - but for you, I would choose the second stone.

The only thing that concerned me w/ the JA stone is the feathers along the edge near the girdle. I''m no jeweler, but I''ve heard that this is a recipe for disaster. Can anyone comment on this???

i think since size is on top of your list, the JA stone will be best since it hits the 2ct level.

what kind of setting are you getting for it?
