After a lot of looking, I have it down to three diamonds for my engagement ring so far. Could you experts take a look at these and tell me your favorite?

Please note that the photo of the diamond had some kind of a mistake in the pic on the website. I inquired after looking at the (what I think are) good ASET/IS images and they took a new photo of it, which is attached.

Thanks!

I take it the photo posted belongs to the third link? That one gets my vote.

Third one gets my vote, too.

3rd stone for me too.

Yup, the picture I attached is of the third stone I listed (the 1.025ct). I thought that was the best one too - I put it on reserve. I''ll make the final decision tomorrow! The new photo really jumped out at me - I think it''s one of the best I''ve seen!

It looks like a beautiful Princess, make sure you get it reserved ASAP to prevent it from being poached, give Whiteflash a call if you are seriously interested in that one.

Was the old photo a WRONG photo of the diamond or a BADLY taken photo?
If it was a wrong photo, I shudder to think about all those images we see and wonder if those images really represent the diamond that was evaluated...

I reserved this stone before I posted this thread - I was worried about it getting swiped from under my nose!

It was a bad photo of the same stone according to WF. I guess the black background is good to show contrast, but can sometimes play tricks on the camera and stone. Looking at the ASET/IS versus the "old" picture, it definitely looks like there is a disconnect.

Hi,

newb question here... Would the idealscope image had been a good reference to realize that there was something wrong with the picture?

Thanks!
Sal.

For me yes, the IS and ASET images were a good reference.
