I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of my wedding dress :)

I got married in Hawaii:

I "trashed" the dress:

I got it cleaned and wore it to our AHR back home:

I got it shortened and will wear it on our anniversaries, it's a cute little dress now!

I know this isn't for everyone, but I love that I really got great use out of it and it's not just sitting in a box never to be worn again.

It looks great as a cocktail length dress! Almost makes me want to think about doing the same. I had a gown with the same silhouette.

What a great idea...I would have loved to have gotten more use out of mine. :((

what a great idea! I think it looks lovely as a tea length dress too. x

Looks great!

I'm planning to do the same, either cut it into a cocktail dress, shorten it and dye it black or just dye it and keep it as an evening dress.

Great idea! It looks beautiful in all of it's iterations!

Great multi-use of your dress! What is an AHR that you referred to?

Thanks everyone!

AHR: At-Home-Reception

We had a destination wedding and also a party back home for those who couldn't make it :)

I am loving that your beautiful dress could be shortened and look so amazing as a cocktail dress!

It turned out really well--looks great!

Totally LOVE the cocktail length. It looks fabulous!

Wow, what a great idea!! It looks great!

i love it shortened! Looks great- If I could pull it off with my dress I would consider it-

it is a great dress. And i think the floor length dress is much more beautiful than knee length even though they are the same in other aspects.
