Hey Guys so i''ve bought my dress and all my wedding plans are coming along nicely and i just wanted to post a mock up of the colour themes and the outlay of the wedding party for a few opinions from you guys...

let me know if you like my colour theme or if you think its needs alittle help....

Have the mothers of the bride and groom already picked their outfits? They might want to pick their own style color...

That being said, I do think there is a LOT going on in the color scheme. Could you tweak it by having the BMs in the same colors? You could shake it up a little bit by maybe doing two styles of dress? The colors are nice, but it may look more cohesive if you reduce the number of colors.

The couple that seem out of place is the couple on the right in gray. It''s not working in the color scheme.

That is a lot of color. The teal and dusty rose, in my opinion, don''t do each other any favors. Added with the lavender, coupled with the grey...there isn''t a strong base...and a great mixture of cool and warm.

With color, I always feel like less is more...and you want to pick a scheme that will be lovely but also timeless. You also should lean towards colors that are easy to match....teal for example have a wide varity of tones and shades so it can end up clashing horribly in some cases. Dusty rose often times has the same problem...you have the Golden Girls dusty rose, but you also have the ultra modern hot pinkish dusty rose.

You should go visit a bridal salon and ask for a few color swatches. What you can do on the computer is not an accurate repersentation of what you''ll see in real life at all.

Hope that was helpful, and I also hope I didn''t rain on your wedding color parade.

I think there is a lot going on.

I agree with Rockzilla that unless the Mother''s have already picked their gowns, and that is what you are basing their outfits on, I think it''s only right to let them chose, and not worry about what they are wearing.

As for the rest of it. I agree with the others... lots of color. Strong color. And it might look better if the amount of color was reduced. Personally I think black BM dresses with colored sashes look great. That way you could keep the teal and pink if you like, but make the whole look more cohesive. Alternately I''d just pick either solid teal or pink for the BMs. But that''s me.

Hmmm... yeah, I'm not a big fan of the teal and pink together either. It's two really bold colours - very high contrast, and I'm not sure how much I like them together, honestly.

If you do want to use those colours, I would go with just teal or just pink for the BM dresses - without the sash. I think pairing the teal dress with the pink sash and the pink dress with the teal sash makes it all look a bit 'matchy matchy".

Where''s the groom? It looks like two bridesmaids, two groomsmen, the bride...but no groom. ???

Regardless of the colors, that mock up is awesome!! I wish I could do this for home furnishings in my house with colors and furniture and such.

There is a lot of color going on, and I did the same for my wedding which was a lot of pastels, but that was a lonnnng time ago.

If you like color, I say go for it, although I am not a fan of teal.

Yeah, it's a really cool tool, through the David's Bridal website (Dress My Wedding). I used it to figure out the colors for my flowergirls. Not to hijack the thread, but for comparison purposes, here's mine. I'm not worrying about the parents, just the bridal party.

RYS, the more I look at your mock-up, what I really like about it is how you've reversed the colors in the dresses/sashes, the flowers, and the guys' ties. I like that it's not all matchy-matchy. It's fresh. It's just that as someone else said, the teal and pink colors are both strong colors, so they don't blend, they almost clash. Perhaps with different colors? I love your concept.

Rockzilla...my mother is mad for purple so nothing i do can change her mind about wearing that, and my mother in law to be on the right...the program only allows limited colours and they were the only ones that went and also matched the father as well...

Italianhaircolor - i know exactly what you mean about the wide spectrums of both the pink and the teal...the main reason other than loving the color teal to include it in my colours is to break it up from being an entirely ''pink'' wedding...but i havent been out with the girls yet so who knows what may happen yet.

marchswallowbird _ The groom is on the right hand side next to me, my fiancee is considering only having 1 groomsmen...also yeah i got the program from davids bridal. Thanks for the compliment i want it all to match a little but anyhows.

The main reason i''m including the teal is to really break up the ''pink'' wedding feel. Because there are so many pink weddings and pink wedding items i''m trying to do a bit of teal in the invites and in the table decorations etc...i will post some pics to give you all an idea!

Also i wanna say thanks any feedback is good because it keeps my mind open and i''ve got till june next year anyways....

oh i should mention the dresses would be floor length and that my wedding is in june which is our winter and it''s a garden wedding too...the one thing i''m not to fussed about is the sashes but i should say it was just a play mockup and an idea...anyways...

I think the mock up is cool - but makes the colors a little garish... I think with your invites, and cupcakes and color scheme, it will work. Its just the animation isn''t true to life or what people are actually looking like.

You seem to have it all planned out and if you love it, GO FOR IT!

Your invitations are so pretty! May I ask where they are from?

One question...is your FIL going to wear a tux (vest and bowtie) while all of the rest of the men wear more of a suit (regular tie)? In the mock up it just appears that he doesn''t quite fit since it seems like a bit more of a formal look.

My colors are chocolate brown and fuchsia, and the accent color is turquoise, it looks awesome if done the right way. My BM''s are wearing fuchsia with a brown sash and my MOH is wearing the opposite, the guys are in grey tuxes with brown vests and ties, the turq. is mostly paper, ribbons and that sort of thing.

Your color scheme reminds me of this pic

I think it looks very pretty and can work well together if you have the right tones. The mother''s colors I don''t think you can help and I don''t really think that is a big deal, but maybe put the fathers in a more neutral suit/tie combo rather than matchy with the mothers and it will make it more cohesive.

Thanks jules...i do love it but i''m still not 100% but i''m getting there

Loves Vintage - Thanks the top invites are from http://www.cristinare.com/ and the bottom one are from http://www.kardella.com/default.asp?c=10735

mjso - my fiancee will be wearing a fairly normal suit nothing too fancy, he will be wearing a vest & tie though.

Allieluv83 _ Thats the exact theme i wanted but, my fiancee didn''t like it and i wanted him to wear a brown pinstripe suit and he would have none of it so i just cut out the brown

I am a big fan of just doing what you like...Yes it''s alot of color, however, that whole group of people will not be walking around together in a group like that all day. The only thing I see that I would really change. Is the grooms attire. Somehow I would make it stand out more as being "the groom" Maybe even just black suit, white shirt and tie and add the colors in with his lapel flower,
