I think I've got my candidates narrowed down to this list, and I want some feedback/insights from you dedicated PS'ers. Straight from the PS search tool (all are ACA):

I think I have my mind set on the Vatche X-prong. My gf wears a size 4 ring, and is somewhat conservative. (I'm more worried about the 1.230C being too big than the 1.073C being too small, but hey, they're only 4 sheets of paper difference in diameter.)

This site has given me much more info than I wanted, but I think it'll be worth it in the end

i made it through them all

i like the first and the last one. away from paper and not sitting side by side, there is not a whole lot of difference between them size wise. personally, i would go with the smaller one.

Garry got me converted to the F-Si1 fellowship with those huge, perfect diamonds of his.

I am not convinces the numbers tell different stories there: without seeing the diamonds my best DC effort can't spot any difference in them on a dime-size image. (want them files? Please PM is for... they are pretty darn identical though).

, I'd take the last on the list. Perhaps I could make up some 'technical' reason, but I wouldn't believe it myself

You must hate that last 1k of the price tag, right? (kidding).



Anyway, I think I like THIS better. Chances are someone can tell it is more than 1 ct, there's nothing to say about clarity (small spec deeper inside) or color (given this is not % cts, but 1.3) and cut is what you'd expect from the WF folk. Not quite 8k...

Any chance you might go for the W-prong ring rather than Vatche's ? Every second girl in America should be sporting a 'Lucida style' ring by now

This other one is subtly different, and that sounds pretty tempting.

Just a thought, of course.
