Okay, I''ve jumped on the tsavorite bandwagon. I bought my mom a small round for a Christmas present and couldn''t get that beautiful green out of my head, so I contacted Eric after Christmas for one of my own. It arrived on Monday - 1.46ct emerald cut, 7.1 x 5.5 x 3.9mm. The description says it has one small spot on a side, but honestly I have a hard time even seeing it with my loupe.

I''ve tried my best to capture the color, but it''s hard. IRL all I see is a pure medium green.

First up, by a window on a cloudy day.

This one was taken at 4:30pm in a room with no lights on standing by a window. It was pretty overcast out. The stone seemed to glow, almost like the green in a traffic light.

Gorgeous!

I love the setting too :)

And here''s how I''m hoping to set it. I''m in the process of getting quotes from a few vendors, so hopefully it won''t be way out of reach.

+1

is there a vendor photo of the tsav

Burberrygirl, thanks.
TL, thanks for the compliment on the sapphire. To me it almost looks like a cabochon in the bathroom pic.
Haagen, here''s the vendor pic:

That’s a nice looking tsav; I’d been wondering who bought it and what it looks like in person.

Nice tsavorite, if it were more included it could be mistaken for an emerald (close in color, a common shape for emeralds...).

Funny about sapphire, I was going to ask is it a black opal, cause it sure looks like one in that photo. A really beautiful, deep color.

great setting to highlight this color stone!

I don''t have a lot of EC''s but that one is really really nice! THe ring you''ve chosen will really highlight that stone to its maximum!

Love the color and the glow, also love the shape, you don''t see as many tsavs in that cut.

I wanna get on the Swala Tsav Bandwagon, darn it!!!!

May I also say, I truly admire the setting pic you posted, I love a modern aesthetic. Would you share a link or jeweler name? Terrific setting for an emerald cut stone.

It''s a beautiful tsav!

Awwwwww! So beautiful!

nice nice thanks

LOVE it! Congrats

Great choice! And I really like the ring design you''ve chosen.

I''ve been eying up Tsavorites for awhile. Yours is a beautiful example.

I really like the colour - it is so lively! My two tsavorites are a bit darker than this, so they don''t photograph as well.

That really is such a gorgeous shade of green!

Very interesting setting. Was it your own idea? Tasteful.

Fantastic stone..well done on this one!

Oh, lovely! Can''t wait to see it set!

What a vibrant beauty!
