I have had my pink tourmaline halo ring from BGD for about 3 weeks now and I discovered tonight that the tourmaline is loose in the setting :(( I first heard it shaking then could actually feel it moving. It is bezel set, so I am surprised that it has become loose so soon. I don't see any damage on the bezel, though I admit to having knocked it on something a time or two. I've always checked afterward and it was fine. When I noticed that it was loose today it wasn't after I hit it on something. I just happened to be driving and tapping my hands on the steering wheel when I heard it. I have taken it off and put it safely away until I hear back from BGD on what to do.

I'm so sad. I've only had the ring for about 3 weeks! ;( It IS insured, but I'm thinking there should be some sort of warranty from BGD, no? Has anyone else had any issues with stones becoming loose so soon? And if so, was it covered under warranty?

Here's a pic of the ring:

oh no! I hope BGD fixes it soon! your ring is one of my favorites!

Give BGD a call - I'm sure they will take care of this for you!

Just call them or send them an email. They'll send you a fed ex label, pre paid and have it back to you as soon as possible. It's under warranty. No need to stress, promise. :twirl:

Things like this happen with all vendors. It's how the vendors handle it that sets them apart. And BGD is the best of the best with customer service. You are going to be fine.

Thanks everyone. I spoke to Brian yesterday and decided to send the ring back to be tightened. I dropped it off at FedEx tonight. Brian has assured me that the stone will not fall out, but agreed to tighten it anyway. There is a risk of the stone getting chipped while being tightened, but I'm putting my trust and faith in Brian. I think the problem is that I was wearing the ring daily when I probably should only be wearing it on special occasions, not at work, etc. where there is a higher chance that it will get banged on something. He also told me that I don't need to clean it daily (I'm a bit obsessive about cleaning my rings  ). Brian also warned me that it is likely that the stone will become loose again, so I'm hoping that by not wearing it/cleaning it as much that it won't be a problem. I hope to have it back by next week.

Glad that you were able to speak with Brian directly and that's good news they will adjust it for you! Hope it's back on your finger in a jiffy!

Glad they will tighten it for you. Your ring is lovely.

Hope it is fixed soon so it can be one your finger soon....I love that ring! :lickout:
