He has an iMac puter, but his phone is not iPhone.
I thought iWatches were basically useless without your iPhone nearby.

Does anyone here have an apple iWatch but no iPhone?
If so is the iWatch a waste of $349, plus tax?

You are right; an iPhone must be paired with the Apple Watch. And FWIW, I have one and love it. I do think it is worth the money. Prior to it, I owned a Pebble and their is no comparison. However, if one can only afford a Pebble, they are good. But a couple hundred more and you get many more features with the apple. EDIT: the pebble can be used with android phones, and iPhones. Could be an option for you.

Hope your SO doesn't have tattoos Kenny, apparently tats have caused issues for the skin sensors on the iWatch in the past. It's the main reason I have never bought one.

It's December 22. Are you telling us you haven't bought a gift for your SO yet?

I buy gifts randomly throughout the year.
What is the significance of December 22?
Is today some holiday?

If you went through the shopping centers here you would think so, people are packed in tighter than a mosh pit.

I was almost tempted to crowd-surf the shoppers

Yes, an Apple Watch would be useless without an IPhone.

Bumping this because I saw something new today.
Apple Watch has come out with a line of Hermes watch bands.

They don't have them in any retail stores near me, but I'm traveling this weekend where I will be able to see them in person. I know it wouldn't appeal to everyone, but since I'm really liking my Apple watch, the Hermes bands would be a fun addition =)

Oh my goodness, that "cuff" style is a real throwback! I'm thinking 70's but I could be off by a decade or two. I don't need an iwatch but I do appreciate a good watch, and I like this juxtaposition modern design and traditional fine craftsmanship.
