Got word from my jeweler this morning...
My setting is DONE!!! Woohoo! I should have it by St. Patrick''s day.
I however, have complicated the center stone issue. I had originally purchased an asscher cut pink sapphire for the center stone. But now I''m totally conflicted about whether or not pink sapphire will be too much pink with an already pink sapphire and white diamond halos.
So I took a gamble and am negotiating a trade/purchase with a very nice man in Delaware who is a friend of my aunt and uncle. He has an asscher cut diamond to send me at a great price. I''m going to see how the setting looks with the asscher (which is an H color SI1) in place of the sapphire and vice versa.
I have come a long way from browsing the aisles at Kay Jewelers, let me just say. I''m so excited to see this 2 year project come to an end, but at the same time I am nervous. Is this my forever ring? Will I get upgrade fever? What am I going to do with my free time NOW???
