my pics- for real this time!

so i decided tonight to go through the CDs of pics i got to start posting some. it may have something to do with tapping into the leftover cases of wine...or that i started to get emotional so i put on my dress and sat there watching tv while my husband was on the computer. oh married life. plus we joined a bowling league this week with another couple we are friends with. how did all this grown up stuff start happening so quickly!?

anyway- i have a lot of editing to do on the photoes, but here are some of my favorites so far, before a whole bunch of editing!

let''s start out with THE SHOES!

flower girl and ring bearer...notice her flowers. this was the orange that was in the other bouquets, mixed with the other orange. you will see what i mean as we progress- but i mean, seriously- would you let your girls walk with flowers that didn''t match the way these don''t? i had to leave her bouquet alone because i couldn''t deal with anymore flower stress. i''m not 100% happy- but its over.

walking down the aisle! i should mention my other photog has a picture of my husband as i walked down- he was shaking bc he didn''t want to cry. i on the other hand bawled. my priest said, "don''t cry so much! it isn''t a funeral! or is it....?"

yeah, i pretty much did this during the ceremony. kneeled, looked around, and laughed. we picked the most ridiculous first reading (song of songs for any catholic brides out there) which begins..."Hark, my lover! Climbing on the mountains, leaping on the hills! My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he is standing behind our wall, he is looking through the windows, he is peering through the lattice." and goes on and on.....its so hard not to laugh...especially when our groomsmen were busting up.

right...the other thing i did during the ceremony. cried. i had my grandpa''s handkerchief. i asked my dad to go get it from him once i realized there was no way i was going to be making it down the aisle without losing it.

this is what i mean about the mismatched flowers. but people are so right when they say once they day gets going, whatever goes wrong you just sort of accept it. i mean, yeah, i remember that i was freaking out about it, but now looking back, it was still the best day of my life. and my flowergirl was hilarious.

i have a couple good pictures on another disk of us at the alter- but i like this better actually, its more "us."

grrrrr...i wish you could see my bustle in detail in one of these pictures- it was gorgeous!! all of the train detail showed up when it was done right. but when i walked it sort of folded over itself- there was no way to do it without it looking funny from the front to have it stay bustled right, but when i stood still it was great! haha

i''m so glad my girls still love me after they had to wear those shoes. i gave them all pretty flip flops though

me with all the bouquets...i''m SOOO glad i went with bigger bouquets- i love the substance they have! and those suckers were heavy! i tossed the flower girl''s at the reception and was scared someone would get knocked out!

my fav first dance picture- to steelhearts "i''ll never let you go (angel eyes)"- we sang the whole time and it was so 80''s rock- i don''t know if people expected it or not but i laughed by butt off.

I''m guilty of F5ing my way through this thread. Everything looks beautiful and I was far from bored! Congrats again! I love your dress, the bustle, the veil, and your jewelry! And I loved how you and Mr. Charbie''s personality shined through your photos!

rings- his is titanium. its too big- he had never worn a ring before and didn''t understand how it was supposed to fit...don''t ask. he lost it in the pool on our honeymoon on the first day playing water polo. luckily for him, people found it.

this was our groomsman who got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too drunk.....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early. he had to be escorted by friends to his hotel only about 2 hours into the reception. he was with my husband the faithful night i met him at the bar. my husband used to have longer hair, and we always say we met because i liked his long hair (its true...its the reason i went up to him at the bar and introduced myself.) so we joke that if this groomsman had more hair, it could have been a whole different story

the most awesome tasting cake ever that my sister/MOH made- it was soooooooooooo tasty, and i think it looked great!

cake to the FACE! he started to get me on the nose first, so we both got each other a LITTLE messy- not all smashed up, but just enough
