I am a longtime lurker of Pricescope, and finally decided to share my e-ring. The center store is an OEC from my great grandmother, passed on to me by my grandmother in a pendant when I turned 18. My grandmother passed away a few months before my (now) husband proposed, and we both loved the idea of using the diamond in my ring to honor her memory. It is a .5, VS1 with graduating RB's that I think add up to about 1tcw. My jeweler estimates that the center stone was cut before the turn of the century. It may not be big, but I love that I see my grandmother every time I look at my hand.

I have never posted before, so I hope this works!

That is such a great sentiment. It is also such a classic setting. I too have a family diamond also a .5 rb that I am going to reset. I''ll never get rid of the stone, even if I end up upgrading.

HI:

Delightful ring--thank you for sharing!!

cheers--Sharon

A great ring - with such history it definitely makes a family treasure! I think it''s a great idea that you chose to use it for your own ring. Do you see lots of difference in the cut pattern between your center stone and the RB side stones?

Welcome Curlycoop!

A beautiful ring with a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing.

ETA: I didn't read the other posts before replying and now realize I basically repeated what Minny said. Oh well, it's very true and can't be said enough IMO.
