my non-pro South Africa wedding photos

My wedding in South Africa went absolutely perfectly. I think the people at the wedding venue were happy with us because we were very laid back and not stressed. Herewith some non-professional photos I'd like to share. First is the deck on which we got married.

DH's brother-in-law "married" us (we actually signed the legal papers in Holland on 1 Sep so we were already officially married). we told him we didn't want to memorize any vows so he must just tell us what to say. I didn't know what he had put together, but he gave a beautiful speech about what makes a marriage work and the whole thing was perfect.

our table decor. I was quite happy that the orchids were flown in from Singapore because coincidentally I have spent a lot of time in Singapore the past year and bought the table runners and some of the men's blue ties there. We also had DH's suit made there.

believe-it-or-not, this package contains both the wedding dress and groom''s suit. there was a rumor going around the wedding that I bought a seat on the plane just for my dress. obviously that was not necessary.

best man (the other brother-in-law) and groom. DH is not a priest, his suit just looks that way. by the way, my mother-in-law made the suits of the best man, the officiant and father of the groom.

we were really happy that day. here you can also see more of DH's suit. it is a Mandarin collar.

a little fuzzy, but we were super happy. and I loved the way my hair looked as I don't have much hair and had to add a fake ponytail

just out of curiosity - why did you have another wedding at South Africa if you were married in already married in Holland? (don''t get me wrong, if i could, i would have another ceremony on a different country too!)

jcarlylew the dress is Sincerity Bridal. here's the link to my former dress post. now that I look at it, I think the dress looked better on me than the models!

cleokizzy we live in Holland so it was easier just to have the paperwork done here. we didn't have a wedding in Holland, just went to Town Hall to sign the papers. he's from South Africa and his family all still live there so that's why we had the wedding there. this really helped take away any cold feet issues at the alter.
