Hi everyone. Just had my ring reset (1ct, F, VVS) as never been happy with the clunky setting. Also got a sneaky new wedding band - I’m clearly not the sentimental type my old rings/setting at the bottom. Hope you like it, I’m so happy with it.

Simplicity at its best!

Love the new setting and wedding band :)

I also sneaked in two new "wedding bands" when I got my 20th anniversary ring!

Beautiful and classic! Your asscher is lovely always, but the new setting really shows her off.

Blindingly spectacular.

Thanks again for the kind comments.

Just a little back story of my ring saga!!

I'm in London, UK, where we are perhaps not as up on diamond buying as you American Pricescopers who have amazing knowledge - and better options in terms of quality, availability and good prices I'd say.

My original engagement ring was a 0.3ct little cute ring. We had two babies (I know - out of wedlock! Disgusting! :D) and were extremely skint (London for POOR). Fast forward ten years and we are in a completely different financial situation and I've acquired a fervent interest in diamonds. My dh bought me diamond stud earrings, a beautiful 3carat eternity ring with Asscher stones, as well as two delicate diamond necklaces. All gorgeous.

Then I decide I'd like an e-ring upgrade (after saying I would just wear the eternity on my left hand instead forevermore!) and I source a beautiful Asscher stone after months of searching through a smaller dealer in Hatton Garden. But for some silly reason I pay no attention to the setting and it's very clunky - big prongs, thick band and it just never does the stone justice.

Finally on my 50th birthday I went to my local jeweller (tiny little shop, elderly owner) and talked to him about exactly what I wanted from his workshop guys. Bought the new band from an online store. Then the new setting arrived and I'm finally happy and extremely grateful - my husband and I have been together for 26 years and we still love each other. That - and the new ring - is the main thing, right??

Ha ha, sorry that was so long!

Your new reset is a winner!! It looks beautiful! I think a reset is a fantastic way to celebrate 26 years together
