My new red spinel Lotus ring!

Many of you will recognize this beauty from IG and LT. The lovely JasmineJadeBoutique created it, and now she is mine! I've always had a weakness for red spinel, and I just couldn't pass it up when she relisted. I have had a goal to collect multiple colors of spinel that is at least 4 cts, and this ticks the box for a red.

It has a 4.65 ct red spinel that is such an interesting color. Sometimes pinkish red, sometimes rusty red, sometimes purplish, but always gorgeous. Set in rose gold and platinum with diamonds. It is a size 4.75 and I thought i would have to size it up, but I've lost 15 lbs recently and I don't! Proves she was meant to be mine even more. This is my very first bezeled ring as well. Lucky! Reeeeeed is my favorite. I love me some moody spinel and that's a honkin' stone with a great mounting. And it's a concave cut. I'm feeling a tad jealous- which is the highest of compliments.

What a stunning ring! A large spinel would be magnificent on its own but throw in that delicious red color and that gorgeous concave cutting and this baby knocks it out of the park. I absolutely love it!

@ItsMainelyYou That IS quite the compliment, especially having such a beautiful one like you do! This shade of red is very different from my Burmese spinel ring and my loose mahenge, but a beauty in her own right.

@elle_71125 that's exactly what I was thinking when I pulled the trigger! I had told myself I wasn't going to buy anything new (only set current stones), but I broke my own rule when this opportunity presented. I couldn't let it slip away again. P.S. Your Cherry Bomb is STILL the absolute ultimate red spinel ring to me, though!

It's actually a beautiful18k rose gold, which sometimes is too warm for my skin but I really like DK's blend.
