My new Peridot ring

I just have to show you all this - my new peridot ring. I just bought it from M Khordipour & I''m so excited. I can''t wait to get it - hopefully on Wednesday. Then I will have to wait until all the nails I broke this week grow back so I can get some pictures of it on my finger!

The ring is a 14.16 carat emerald cut peridot with 2.21 carats of G color VS diamonds set in platinum. I just love the setting!

I don''t think this will be an everyday ring but I will certainly try to wear it often. I also bought it with the future in mind - my daughter''s birthstone is peridot so this ring will eventually go to her. But in the meantime - it''s finger candy for me!

I love the depth of color in the stone... so much darker than I expect on a peridot. I can''t wait for handshots!

Got the ring today & it is so pretty! The color is slightly less dark than my monitor showed. The stone looks like a peridot should (IMHO) - in a perfect spot between an emerald and a tourmaline. It is very glittery too! The setting is so sweet and delicate even though the stone is large. It looks antique and modern at the same time. It really shows off the stone well. I can''t wait to get you guys some photos! (But be nice about my awful non-professionally manicured nails! LOL! You ladies all seem to have perfect nails - how do you manage it?)

Someone should go over to M. Khordipour and snap up the cusion cut peridot ring that is still left - I''m sure it''s very pretty also. (I''m a total enabler.)

My birthstone is peridot and I always find it difficult to find one that is beautiful. My bf found one for me last year and I love it but it is nothing compared to that beauty you have there. Enjoy it! Thanks for helping to give peridot a better image. I think it gets a bad rap.

I had no idea my laziness was causing such agony! LOL!

I always hold off until the weekend when I can get hubby to take some photos for me out in the daylight. I just can''t bring myself to settle for crappy interior lit photos - at least not as a first impression photo! Gotta show everything off in the best light - literally.

I think peridot is a great birthstone - so many possibilities in the shades of color! You can get them almost like a lemony yellow green to the shade of mine which fools everyone into thinking it is an emerald.

My birthstone is ameythyst & purple is probably my least fav. color. Figures.

I don''t think Khordipour does just settings - but it wouldn''t hurt to ask. They were very friendly.
