thanks mscushion! i was looking for a higher color but honestly, in person, this guy looked really nice, even next to the F colors Mark showed me...so i pulled the trigger on this one since there''s not a ton of old mine brilliants in the market

he has a nice G in his office that i think was 2.5 and an F, 2.24 as well that were in the running

thanks for your nice comment

Wow, Supercheeks, that is a beautiful stone from the picture. If it is great in person, I would say go for it!

Congratulations!

i am def going to get it- it is very unique and pretty in person

thanks all! a done deal now- just went over and paid for it today!

will try and post more pics

any setting ideas? love the halo but getting kind of over that- help!
ps i dont love millgrain!

If you don''t want a halo or milgrain, how about a James Meyer bezel set? I think it would be beautiful in one of his settings...but it would be hard to make an ugly ring with that rock!

Gorgeous diamond BTW, but you already knew that!

hmm bezel, ya know, that is one settin style i dont love-

i find that bezels can really hamper the light return in a diamond sometimes- for some reason, to me, they seem to shut off light coming in all around - but i could be wrong- i need to look at the james meyer site closely...

i was thinking a more antiquey something- come on pricescopers! :)

That is one beautiful OMC! I love it, can''t wait to see it on your hand! Congratulations for snapping up that beautiful stone.

Congrats SUPER!

I have had a bezel and prongs on the same diamond, and if your stone leaks then it would hamper the performance a bit, however on a well cut stone it would not, I only noticed that when it is bezeled, the light hits even at the slightest edge of the diamond so when you cover the edge up, it gives you this illusion of "hamper" so to speak so you would miss those fire at the slightest edge - hope that makes sense. I love the james meyer setting especially having the pavilion open

that way you can still at least see your diamond even if the girdle is covered

YUM! What a BEAUTY!!!

Wow, beautiful rock
