very good point!! I wasn't sure if I could do this - I wrote the jeweler in my original post but than deleted it!! The name of the jewelery store is Lauren B Diamonds (they are located in the NYC diamond district and are a family owned business - website is www.laurenbjewelry.com)...they were absolutely wonderful to work with...they gave me the best price on the setting (hand made and in platinum)..and finished it in NINE days! :D :D

However, what exactly do you mean by hand made? Looking at their website they do cast rings. I think you mean the ring was custom made.

OMG thank you for all the wonderful comments!! I also feel so completely clueless that I know nothing about the stats of this setting...I literally saw it in the window after looking at TONS of settings online and in every window in the diamond district and thought it was perfect - I pointed out, tried it on my finger and put down a deposit...I do know that this particular setting is definitely made by hand - he even explained to me the process by which I sort of half listened (terrible I know)..the jeweler carries both types of settings - you can see on the site some specifically state "made by hand" and others I guess are made differently...either way I am in <3 and will try to get some more specifics on the setting for you all! and of course take some more photos this weekend when I have some free time to test the ring out in every.single.type.of.lighting.possible!! LOL

Holy Moly Perfection! I am so happy you listened to your heart! Pictures never do justice in this personal choice, there is too much detail people can miss. Its absolutely gorgeous and like HUGE on your finger!

Here are some more shots I took last night! Still trying to figure out how to get great photos...the ring sits very low on my finger and every time I try to get a side shot it looks weird/blurry - but it could also have been the lighting in my apt, I'll definitely post one later though!
