My Mom

My beloved Mom passed away on Wednesday April 4th, 4 weeks to the day my sister and I brought her to the hospital.
I wanted to let you all know, as you were so supportive to me when struggling with whether to move up our wedding.

I wanted to say thank you for all of the support and sharing of your own experiences. I am blessed to have had her in my life, and to have spent these last few weeks with her.
She told me a couple of weeks ago "wherever I end up, your mother will always be with you" and I do believe it''s true and it gives me great comfort.

FI has been amazing, and on the night before she died, he went up to visit her after work when I was home napping. He told me he told her "a secret" and I have a feeling it was to reassure her that he will take care of me.

I am so thankful for him and my 5 siblings, I am not sure where I would be without them.

I agree with the others that the past few weeks were a blessing and I am glad you were able to spend them with her. She will definately always be with you and watching over you, your siblings and your new family. How wonderful you have a large, close family as well to lean on. That is a blessing as well.

Dear Labbie I am so sorry for your loss. This is a very difficult time for you right now but it sounds as though you have a wonderful warm group of family and friends to help you through this. Your DF sounds like one heck of nice guy and it is very special that he had some time with your mum. I kinda of think that that meeting with your mum reassured her that he would look after you and thus allowed her to be at peace and free to embark on her next journey.
A similar thing happened to me and I am convinced to this day 23 years later that my mother after similarly being reassured felt able to leave me safe in the knowledge I was loved and cared for.
