I thought I would share the mini home makeover I did recently.

Bowl made from driftwood. I now have seashells in it.

All I did in the family room was wallpaper the fire breast wall and add a fireplace (£65 from Ebay) and the chair (£20 from Ebay) and accessorise.

Any sensible person would have taken before pictures! However I didn''t expect it to look as nice as it does, so I didn''t expect to share photos

Its genius but not cat proof. There has been a massacre on the wall at the top of the stairs.

Haha! He is safe. We get along just fine. In fact its really nice to see how upset the divorce has made him. Not that I am being mean or anything... but you know...

Finally, my Ebay table and chairs... £100! For this room I am going to buy some driftwood shelves and display some boats and seaside stuff. I also fancy some deck chair fabric curtains. The kids love the beach which is where I got the theme for the dining room and hallway.

Its true though isn''t it? No matter what mood you are in, you always have fun at the seaside

Sorry these ones are a little bit dark. I just took them and its after midnight here.

I bought some MDF letters from Ebay to make a sign for my staircase. Its quite low and people (yes that means you Dad) keep banging their head on the way down.

Maisie -- I LOVE your house! I''m still blown away at the bead-board wall paper. I love everything you''ve done! And that swirly green wallpaper with the awesome green armless chair -- GORGEOUS!

My mom has a plaque with that saying too. Her upstairs bathroom is beach-themed, and it fit right in.

I love to have my family round a big table. The kids try to escape but I make them stay and chat. They WILL bend to my will!
