Gosh you ladies are a bad influence!

However, in my defence this beautiful stone is not for me. In June my daughter-in-law gave birth to Lily. It was also my DIL''s birthday a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to give her something a bit special that would also commemorate Lily''s arrival. And one day this little pink princess will belong to Lily. History in the making.

Now to the important stuff. Once again the amazing Peter Toracca (www.torraca.net) produced this wonderful stone. Not only that, I only contacted him last weekend with the request and told him I needed it in a hurry because I was off to the UK in a couple of weeks and wanted to take it with me. How''s that for service!

And the all important stats 1.15ct, 6.00 x 6.03 x 4.30mm hot pink-purplish tourmaline

I have a couple more projects in the pipeline. Watch this space ........

Thank you for your kind words ladies. It''s been tough. Lily was born in the UK in June, we live in Calgary, Canada and we haven''t met our granddaughter yet. We leave in exactly 3 weeks and we can''t wait. She''s smiling now.

I especially liked the stone because it reminds me of the colour of the deep pink asiatic lilies.

We don''t have a daughter only 3 strapping sons, so little Lily is going to come in for a lot of my pretties.

That is a nice stone! Princess is one of my favorite cuts. When I first saw the photo it looked just like one of the pink spinels I cut!
