I''m so excited! I''m going to take one to the post office tomorrow to get it weighed and then I''m mailing these beeches on Saturday! Woo Hoo!

I *think* she may have been the same person who made my personalized stationary for my bridesmaids...I know it was someone named katy, and the theme looks very similar, and the envelope miners were my favorite touch.

Thanks gals!!! I went to the post office today. Since they're heavy AND square, it's going to cost 98 cents to mail each one. Add the 44 cent return envelope stamp and each invite's total postage is $1.48. Yikes! I couldn't get the cutesy wedding themed stamps in that denomination so I've got some Grand Teton National Park stamp. Oh well!

The response envelopes will have an "Adopt a Shelter Pet" stamp.

I'm so excited to get these in the mail and start getting some responses!!!

Thanks for the compliments, ladies! I just confessed the cost of each invitation (w/o postage!) to FI last week. He was not amused. He saw them and I read some of your reactions and he's now agreed that they're pretty awesome and worth the cost.

Thanks again ladies! FI and I stuffed them all yesterday and took them to the post office. I went up the counter and said "I''d like to have these hand cancelled, please." The woman took one of them, weighed it, and said "who told you these were 98 cents to mail?" I looked at her and pointed at an employee a few windows down and said "She did. Three days ago." She weighed it a couple more times, pulled out a little chart and sat there reading it for about a minute. Then finally said. "Okay! We''ll get these hand cancelled."

Whew. The thought of taking all of them back and adding another stamp was about to make me have a little bridezilla moment. I had even mentioned to FI on the drive to the post office that the women who told me 98 cents better have been correct. I thought I''d jinxed myself.

So anyway, invites are in the mail. Exactly eight weeks before the big day. Check another item off the list!
