Wedding My invite DIY

I just popped my invites in the mail and I thought I would do a little diy tutorial for other brides who were thinking of making their own invites -I loved making mine and was so proud of them at the end!

First: Fold a piece of paper in half (this will be the size of the main invitation),and cut out folded strips the length and width of your pocketfold. The final rectangle is the part that will form the actual folded part.

Stick the folded strips on to the main invite:

Stick the pocketfold "flap" onto the other side of the folded strips:

These were my invite inserts that I designed using Adobe Illustrator:

I then stuck in the main invite and slotted in the inserts (the giftlist insert is hidden under the pocketfold flap)

I made the bellyband using a picture of our fingerprints that I scanned in and made into a little heart. The back of the bellyband has a little sticker of a gem holding it together.

Finally I used some vintage stamps to decorate each envelope -here are some examples
