First off, I'd like to thank everybody for their help thus far. i am definitely an amateur and have learned a lot from this board. My Idealscope comes today and I am going to do a little practicing before I go see the diamonds.

I have a couple of questions before I go.First question I have is, I know that it should be ideal, but is a Very Good stone OK to get? Is an ideal cut rare and most of cut diamonds rated as "very good"? Second, the one SI2 that I saw had a number of inclusions under the loupe, but I couldn't really see them with the naked eye. Should I be concerned? Is there a certain way to look at the diamond with the naked eye to make sure that I see everything?

My soon to be fiance is mostly concerned with the size....over 2 Cts (so I think it would be OK to get a G-H SI1 or 2. I know it is hard without having an idea of the Idealscope read or the HCA, but if anyone has thoughts on these before I go in, please let me know. This is what I am looking at tonight and I will post the rest of the info tonight, after seeing them:
