I am a bit tired but I wanted to start this tonight.
I have been praying for everyone dealing with illness themselves or their loved ones from the other thread.
I thank you so much for the prayers and support.
So basically as I thought it was a flair up of my copd which has happened a few times over the last 10 years.
I was put on very high pressure bipap and steroids.
The pulmonologist on duty was my new pulmonologist who I had started seeing a few weeks ago.
He pulled up my medical records and saw I had the same thing happen in 2010 which was at the same hospital where my other ones were at a different hospital/medical group due to insurance.
So he fought for the bipap and I dont recall much of anything he asked me but I do recall telling his crank up the bipap when he asked me about intubation.
There was some loops he had to jump though but he got it approved and I was in a double isolation room once the corvid test came back negative I was moved to a single isolation then to a progressive care room.

The warning I was so worried about corvid and how they were reacting to things that might be it I made myself worse by waiting almost to long and just kicking my oxygen settings up which caused extremely high blood co2 levels.
So if your feeling bad kick yourself in the butt and get help.
I want to comment about what I observed about corvid in the hospital but im tired.

Thank you for the all prayers and concerns. wuvs yas all.

Karl

I'm glad you are O.K!!!! I'd been asking everyone if they had heard from you. Stay safe and get better!!!!

Rest up Karl. I’m so glad you went for help when you did and you’re doing better. Continued prayers.

I don't believe supernatural things that lack evidence, like gods or karma.
But I respect, admire, and care a great deal for you Karl.

The only real and honest thing that I can offer you is my sincere deep desire for your speedy recovery.
Hugs, my friend.

I’m glad you are doing better and are home from the hospital. I’m sorry you are dealing with this Karl. I hope your wife is doing well too. This had to be really scary for her too. Your post the other day scared all of us.

Thank you for posting about your experience.

I am so grateful that you posted, Karl. Thank you for doing so. It is wonderful to find out that although you went through an ordeal, you were in competent hands throughout all of it. Give my love to wifey.

You and wifey remain in my prayers.

Glad you are home safely Karl. I am glad you are doing better. Thanks for sharing your story. I have been reading so many stories of people afraid to go to the hospital for necessary treatment and that will be a whole difference medical crisis wave coming.

Feel better! Rest up!

I am also glad to hear you are home to rest! You and your family are in my thoughts. Take it easy!!

Karl

So glad you're ok. Thank God. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Sending you dust for a quick recovery! Glad to have you back.

take care Karl and feel better soon

here the hospitals, GPs snd chemist shops are so quiet
people are defiantly avoiding the doc when they should be getting sceen to

wise advice

we actually had to visit the ER last week and the nurse said if Gary hasn't gone it to get the wound cleaned and stitched it would have turned into a nasty infection as part of the tree branch was inbeded in his skin
it was so quiet he didn't even have to wait

Glad you are home and doing much better and all the best for a speedy and full recovery @Karl_K. Gentle (((hugs))) to you and your dear wife.

Relieved to hear you're OK!!
Thanks for updating us!
Healing vibes to you!

Glad to hear you are ok Karl. Sending you hugs and healing.

I’m really glad you got there in time. I hope you’re feeling better.

Wishing you a speedy recovery & good health.

And your warning is a timely reminder, as we were told the same thing in the UK this week by our Government. Overall deaths have risen this month, but not due to Covid, just because people who really, really need help & are not going to hospital or calling an ambulance through Covid fear.

All those heart attack & stroke victims, too afraid to ask for help. It breaks my heart.

I'm glad you listened to your body & went in. And it sounds like you had great care. Big hugs.

Hugs.
That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me.
Thank you.

How scary, so glad to hear you're doing better Karl! My local paper has an article today about how people are reluctant to get medical help for fear of exposure to coronavirus. Thanks for the reminder to us all to get help when needed! Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I'm looking forward to your hospital/COVID observations when you're feeling better.

So glad you went in to get help. Take care, rest and get better!! Thanks for checking in with us!

Rest up @Karl_K and get better soon.

I'm sorry Karl. I didnt know you werent feeling well. So glad you made it out of the hospital and you're on the mend. Get some rest and take
care of yourself. Get back to us when you've caught up on your rest.

I'm so glad you had a good outcome. Being in isolation must be so difficult physically and emotionally. Hope you and your wife are doing great now. Take care.

Thank you so much everyone!!! huge hugs to everyone!!!
I am just taking it easy today.
I have came back to write about my observations but I cant get it right.
The Doctors nurses and staff were awesome and under a ton of stress but I also noticed some scary things with very poor mask and shield protocol(Like lots of rubbing eyes and face behind their shield and mask) at times but when I type it out it feels so wrong being negative.

Thank God you are on the mend and thank you for your advice!
