My grandmother passed away in December 1990 and she wore this ring daily for as long as I can remember. My father wasn’t ready to part with it or decide what to do with it until yesterday. I remember my grandmother telling me the story of this ring...the two center diamonds were stones she had, one was hers and the slightly larger belonged to her sister. One Christmas, my grandfather and father took the diamonds and added the 12 surrounding to create this ring.
I have three sisters, my dad and I have always been close. My parents divorced when I was 12...my sisters all chose to live with our mom but I told the judge I couldn’t choose between my parents and wanted joint custody. Long story short, my sisters were gifted other beautiful pieces, and I was given this one. I am so in love with it. I still have to get it appraised and insured, probably some new prongs, but it is in beautiful condition after a much needed bath.
