it happened this past Monday, and i'm so super excited for them so i just had to share!
we all worked at the same sports bar together, and it's where they met actually. about a month or so ago," J" asked for my help in getting "A" a ring since he knew my mom owned a jewelry shop. about 2 weeks ago, i finally took him there and he chose a gorgeous ring for her. we both went back this past weekend to get it sized and that when he told me his proposal plan. he knew how much she loved going to this one hibachi restaurant, so he coordinated with the manager to hide the ring in an empty egg, and then have the cook crack it open on her plate. i thought it was such a cute idea, and it worked out perfectly since a lot of family and friends wanted to be there when it happened.
fortunately, someone got it on video! **Link removed by moderator. Per the PS rules, no links to personal websites to protect privacy and security** ETA: i just noticed how nervous J looks in the video! oh and A's reaction is just priceless...i'm so happy for them!
of course, here are the stats and photos of ring (along with the matching wedding band) when he got it sized. unfortunately i don't have any handshots of it on her, but you can kind of see it towards the end of the video.
center stone is 40pts H-VS2. with the side stones, i believe it's about 1 cttw set in 18k white gold.
