At dinner time, ding dong to my door... I open and see a client for which I made a website (my job).

I just finish it. I sent the bill yesterday. She had in her hands an enormous bouquet of fresh flowers. Divine ... gorgeous ... it was for me! She had attached the check to pay for my work.

She's make me a dream day! This lady is incredible! Sooo nice and adorable!

Have you ever received a gift from one of your clients? Please tell us...

She capture my heart with this fabulous present I called "A Rose in its nest":

Here is the website : http://www.fleuristedorchester.com

With the check, I can quickly repay the person who lent me money to treat my dog. I'm so happy!

Wow stci you're so talented that website looks great!

I'm sure the compliment was well deserved - both by the quality of the finished product, and the overall service you provided.

Congratulations, stci!

(By the way, your client's business is all about making people's days. She obviously knows her business well too!)

Wonderful news Stci- and good luck with your dog. Hope she feels better soon!

Stci, what wonderful news! You got your baby to a vet AND you can repay your generous friend! See? Lesson to us all, never give up. What a sweet thoughtful thing for your client to do -- it's a lovely bouquet & you deserve it.

Clients did send me gifts sometimes & I was always SO grateful & flattered because it's generally the other way around: the vendor gives stuff to current or potential clients. One Christmas an Italian client in Milano sent me the most beautiful Italian leather wallet; I used it for years & when it was worn to shreds, gave it a regretful funeral -- it meant something special.

That's what your client was telling you: you're special.

We own a web development company and so far no gifts! We were invited to lunch earlier this year, but we had to drive all of the way to Montreal to get it!

We get a few perks from some of our larger clients. For example, they'll set aside a hard to find tech product (things that have a waiting list) and ask us if we want to buy it before its available to the public. That's about it. No gifts!

Your flowers are lovely and you must do fantastic work!

ETA: what type of programming do you do?

Congratulations STCI! What a great day!!!!

STCI - That is awesome! I'm so glad you got your pup in too!

I just took a closer look at the flower arrangement. WOW!

She obviously put a lot of thought and care into this beauty - a response, I'm sure, to the thought and care you put into creating her website. :appl:

JavaScript, PHP, HTML, Java, flash (if it's a language hihi!). All I need to make beautiful and simple website.

I adore program in PHP with MySQL. It's a real pleasure to do website with backend custom module update. I really don't like CMS.

What a pretty bouquet and what a FANTASTIC job you did on her website. You are very talented.

Sometimes, its the little things that people do that can make our day. I am happy for you :D

Congratulations! Its always nice to have that extra appreciation shown. Very pretty flower arrangement.
