Wedding my first...and last bridal show

It could be more compared to being crammed into a sardine can than to a wedding. The vendors were not professional and really were acting more like used car salesmen trying to lure you into their product and business than actually giving you advice or being helpful. Not to mention there were little kids running amuck everywhere. Really...are they all like this? The room was so small I just wanted to leave the whole time but mom and fmil insisted we stay in case we won the grand prize (which we didnt) so, thats all i have to say. imma go eat spaghetti now...

The one i went to was like this in the fact that they were like used car salesman, although mine was in a big big place with lots of room.
Did you sign up at all the things to "win something" ? if you did, BEWARE. you are going to start getting tons of phone calls telling you that you won.
they will keep you on the phone for a while and ultimately whatever you "won" is not free and they will want you to pay something before you hang up!
just a warning. My FI and I went to a bridal show at the DCU center in December (i think) and they are still calling us! LOL

seriously? yeah of course we signed up to win things (stupid us, should have seen that coming, ugh)
well i have an email set up just for wedding stuff so i guess ill just send it all to the spam folder, lame

yep. That pretty much nails bridal shows. All of ''em. Did you at least get to eat bunches and bunches of cake samples? That''s really the only thing that kept me going when I went to one of those things: the fact that the "wedding cake" contingent was out in force, handing out cupcakes of their "most popular flavors" or whatever. Oh, please tell me you at LEAST scored some free cupcakes, and i will know that it wasn''t a total waste of a day....

I''m going to one this Sunday. I was going to go to one about 2 hours away last month in the city I went to college in, but Mom and I decided not to go b/c all the vendors were local to that area. The one this weekend is local. Haha, but this doesn''t make it sound very fun! I was looking forward to taking the camera and getting some ideas of decorations, dress, etc...

So I''m guessing my lack of patience in general when people bug me nonstop is going to rare its head when I go this weekend huh? At least I''ll be sure not to sign up to win anything! I had a friend last summer who almost fell for that when they called and offered an "all expense paid" trip, I tried to tell her...
