I signed up on ps a month ago and made one post and haven''t logged in since (sooo busy with school). I''m back and here to stay for good! Just wanted to introduce myself - I''m from Toronto, and I''m getting married June of 2009

hahah sweet.. I actually live north of the city now in Thornhill - those pics were taken in Montreal (where I am originally from) and where my fiance proposed :)

Is your ring an A Jaffe? It''s soooooo similar to my Ritani!

Okay, you''ve GOT to stop!! My fiance proposed in Montreal as well! He''s originally from Montreal, and that''s where we met. He planned this surprise trip during Christmas and took me to Montreal for 4 days. We went to all the places that were special to us, and he finally proposed on the last night at this ghetto student restaurant where he took me on our first date! He also bought a bottle of vintage champagne from France and a box of my favourite truffles from Belgium (he travels a lot for work) and we spent the rest of the night drinking and being merry

Hehe. Montreal is my FAVOURITE place in the whole wide world!

My ring isn''t Jaffe or Ritani (I wish!!). He actually had our family jeweler make it for us. I acually couldn''t make up my mind on what style I want, so he picked this and I absolutely love it!

PS: Fiance and I spent 3 weeks in France and Switzerland last summer! We are kindred spirits I tell you!

Beautiful ring kama! It looks perfect on your finger.

You also have really beautiful hands- hopefully you don''t think that''s a weird comment.

How neat that you and ilovethiswebsite have so much in common!

Stunning ring!!

I''m also in Toronto just a few blocks up from harbourfront!

I didn''t get engaged in Montreal, but thought I''d say HI anyways :-) haha

Your ring actually looks similar to a Birks ring - beautiful!

Congrats on the engagement!

Ilovethiswebsite: I am in graduate school too (at UoT)! Ha! This is too funny :) We recently booked Chateau des Charmes at Niagara-on-the-lake for our wedding. It's a gorgeous winery. Have you booked your venue?

Wishfulthinking: Thanks so much for your kind comments! Although, I'm not a big fan of my fingers

October2008bride: Hi there fellow Torontonian! It's so nice to see other Canadians on ps! I think I know which Birks ring you're talking about, I remember trying it on once.

Beautiful and classic! It looks so lovely on your hand!

hmmm so similar ring, same proposal location, from same city, both in graduate school!!! What program are you in? I am in child psychology....

We did book our venue and it''s at Auberge du Pommier ... Do you know it? Chateau des Charmes is sickkkkkkkkkkk! We were actually considering a niagra on the lake wedding but we figured it was a bit too far for some of my family coming down from Quebec city.

I''m in Clinical Pharmacology and Neonatal Toxicology. You''re more child, I''m more fetus. :) I''m based out of sick kids...what about you?

We briefly thought against NOTL as well because since FI is from Mtl, a lot of his friends and family will be travelling for the wedding. But we asked around and everyone thought it would be nice to make a vacation out of it, especially since the wedding is a few days before a stat holiday.

I''ve heard nothing but great reviews about Auberge du Pommier! Everyone I know who''s been there raves about the food and the ambience! I''ve been wanting to try them for a while, what with the french food and the crazy wine list, but it''s a bit too far for us and we''re devoid of a vehicle. Your reception is going to be amazing! I think I heard they have a great patio too...but I could be mistaken.

Inluv101: Aww, thank you :)
