I''ll post a link to this thread in DIY area.
Well to start off, I wanted something a lot more personal than a guest book, since my wedding will be under 40 people.
So i thought about a type of "Love Recipe" box, and I searched to find some ideas (Etsy is wonderful!) unfortuneately, so close to my wedding (THIS SATURDAY) i didn''t have time for shipping.
So, I went to Hobby Lobby and got the following:
Wood Box, with glass framing on all sides, with a hinge top
Cardstock paper (in ivory and brown)
Paper Clip style Letters (see photos)
From Target:
Raised Stickers from the Scrapbooking isle
Blank Hand-Pressed Notes (with flowers pressed in the paper).
I took the stickers and put one of each over each pane of Glass
I also cut out card stock (brown for the sides and ivory for the front and back panels) to fit inside the "windows" (creating a backing for the stickers)
I cut several pieces of brown card stock, and using the Paper Clip Letters, papercliped them together in the front.
I used small stickers to keep the hinge top of the box open, so when it''s opened completely, there''s no doweling rods or anything sticking up. The amount of space caused by the stickers allows for the Paper Clip Letters to show quite nicely.
Alas, Here is the first picture
