WOOOOT!!! He spoke to my dad last night! How I found out I will not tell just yet

But let''s just say I am the apple of my dad''s eye and it''s really hard for him to keep a lid on some things, lol. He tried his best but I can read him like a book, lol.

So all I know is that S/O DID say it would be within a 2 week span from the time he asked my dad for my hand and the time of..... DA DA DA DUUMMMMM!

Hahaha Reminds me so much of my dad! We actualy had the following conversation over thanksgiving

Me: "dad, has L asked you for permission to marry me yet, and if he did would you tell me?"
Dad: "no, and yes"
Me: "Dad! you aren''t supposed to actually tell me when it happens!"
Dad: "I already know I can''t keep a secret"

My dad is such a bad secret keeper.

Haha, sounds like my mom. When my dad and my SO left to run an errand together (when my SO planned to ask him for his blessing) I decided to let my mom in on the secret. This was the convo:

Me: "Wanna know a secret?"
Mom: "Oh boy, let me sit down." (Sits down at the kitchen table) "Wait! Don''t tell me! You know I can''t keep a secret!"
Me: "Well it''s not really a secret. Just thought I''d tell you that M is going to ask Dad for his blessing this afternoon. He was going to ask both of you at the same time but hadn''t found the right moment."
Mom: "That''s okay, he already knows I''m excited about it!"

Parents are so funny sometimes...
