My Custom Toi et Moi - SO EXCITED!

My custom Toi et Moi by Modern Goldsmith is here!

I was going to type that it is “finally” here, but 37 days from CAD to my finger is such a short wait—especially when factoring in three national holidays and the fact that one of those holidays is Christmas!

I posted these some of specs in the “Show Me” forum, but full details are here:

• 1.39ct Round Brilliant, 7.14-7.16 x 4.45 mm
• 1.34ct Round Brilliant, 7.07-7.09 x 4.38 mm
• H color | VS1 & VVS2 clarity
• Ideal Cut | Excellent Polish & Symmetry | No Flour
• 14k Yellow Gold shank | 14k White Gold baskets
• Size 4.75

Admittedly, I was a little worried that the diamonds would be huge on my finger and I would feel like they are too much for my taste, but I was oh so wrong! They are the perfect size and the tulip baskets are nothing short of adorable.

I will forewarn you that I took a photography class years ago, and what I learned obviously did not stick!

Thanks so much! He sourced the diamonds for me….a little larger than I initially wanted, but a really good fit for sure.

How does it look with the plain band?

I intend to wear it with a rounded plain 14k YG band, but this is gives a good idea of how it will look.




I tried with my mined diamond eternity bands (just for kicks) and, to me, it takes away from the elegance of the ring.
