My butchered prongs- proff advice?

Well, i JUST put my new set stone on smtr, i was so happy, so pround, so in love, and then, tradegy struck... i noticed a little more space on one side of my diamond than the other in the halo. i took it to the b/m store, they looked, agreed, the jeweler took it away, and when he came back, the spacing issue was gone, but hte stone was set so low in the halo, it looked terrible! not only that, but the prongs were like big smooched rectangles in all four corners! i said at least make those smaller please. he did, but they still look like smooched nonsensical things in the corners nad i dont understand why he has to do it that way, when NOTHING i saw set in that store had nasty smooch non flowing prongs. i left becase i needed to get out. but im not happy. the stone is actually LOWER than the halo in one corner! i hate it. i called back later and said im not happy. well, bring it in and we''ll see what can be done, they say. i already dont like the sound of that. for people who know the technical side of the business, what CAN be done? the prongs are already butchered. i would like the stone back up where it was before they lowered and destroyed it. i dont see how when there are no prong to work with anymore. im a little scared and i dont want to rely soley on what THESE people tell me anymore. any one have some knowledge they can share about what i might be able to expect in terms of improvements? thanks in advance.

I have no experience with that, but I just wanted to say I''m so sorry, no one should have to go through all of that.

cut the old prongs off, laser weld new ones in place and set the stone is the only fix if there is melee in the halo if its plat.
The ring would likely get destroyed unsetting the melee to solder it with a torch.
If its gold it might be doable without the laser but there is a very good chance of damaging a stone in the halo.

strmdr- its white gold and there is melee in the halo. sounds like im okay if i find someone skilled, but at this point, im stuck with who sold it to me. until they give up, then ill have to pay someone toget me out of this mess, thanks for answering!
