Do you think he / she will understand English ?

I hope so as he is only 5 months old, and the 7 most common commands are either a single word or a very short phrase.

FYI, our current doggo is a rescue from Mexico. She was estimated to be about 1.5 years old when we got her. She picked up commands in English just fine! Of course, that is except for when I'm trying to get her back into the house after she's been playing in the yard all day. Then suddenly she's all, "No lo comprendo." (Did I get that right? It's been years since I took Spanish, lol).
