My .91 ct. Pink Tourmaline and 1.43 ct. Malaya Garnet from GemRite

First of all, I am absolutely blown away by how fast John ships stones! I bought it, what, on Thursday, and the package arrived today? Absolutely surprising!


Now, on to the goodies - I''m so pleased with both of them. I think the Pink Tourmaline may eventually go in a setting reminiscent of my e-ring, and I''m leaning toward the Garnet for my new LOGR Legacy-esque setting.

I''m loving the idea of a rose gold setting for the pink tourmaline! I have to get the LOGR setting and play with it with the Malaya Garnet before I make my final decision. I don''t think I''ll get anything set until later this month.

And ya know what, I probably do have a square-ish cushion-ey fetish. Almost all of my favourite stones are cushion-ey/squareish.
