Hi!

Does anybody know how thick the shank is for the Flame ring? Is the thickness altered depending on the carat size? I''m assuming that the shank for a 1ct won''t be the same as for a 1.5 or 2ct etc....

I know the easiest thing would be to call him but I''m not in the US and I don''t really want to bug him just now since we are not buying yet.

the shank won''t vary according to size of diamond unless you request a different size shank. Its no more than 3mm at the most jmo though. Best to shoot him an email and ask him specifcally on the width of the shank though.

Thanks for your reply D&T. I thought this thread had vanished somewhere lol. Only just found it now. I''ve decided against the Flame. From the pictures the head and prongs from the side look a bit too thick for my liking but thank you for taking the time to reply.

sure anytime, are you thinking of one of his other ones? they are all so beautiful! I myself almost shipped my diamond to get put into the torchiere without diamonds

Well I do like his Torchiere very much but again I think it covers up too much of the diamond from the side and I don''t like shanks that taper inwards. I''m confused between going for a real Tiffany or replica... I''ve created a whole new thread for that lol.
