Garmin Fenix? 935?
I currently have a Garmin 920XT that I rarely wear nowadays. Winter was so long and cold. I am looking forward to replacing the 920 that I got three years ago.
I want a watch that tracks swim/bike/run, and I don’t care about details (I’m a completer, not a competer)—but I do care about open water swims, wrist heart rate, and music—in that order. I want a triathlon mode for races. I have Garmin sensors on my bike and also a Garmin HR strap. I really don’t care about all the data that comes with these higher level watches. But I do want the above features! I know it will be “too much watch” for my needs. I am planning on sprint triathlons, one or two Olympic distance tri races, and longer single-sport races this summer (e.g., 1.2 mile open water swim, 60 mile organized bike rides).
@missy Do you have a watch you love for cycling? What would you buy if you were buying new this year?
I wear very casual clothes for work (jeans and t-shirt with agency logo most days). Maybe I’d wear this watch daily? The newer versions have straps that can be quickly changed out—leather/stainless/ silicone
Are any of you out there? Thoughts or words of wisdom?
The prices range from $250 to $800. But I believe my options I want put me in the $500+ range.
