He really is He good naturedly puts up with my Richard Armitage love. He fills up my gas tank and checks my tires.

AND: He's an accountant and right nw he's getting slammed at work--end of month and end of year. I haven't seen him in the evening all week and he's worked from home today and probably tomorrow. I have expressed that I want to go to a movie about the West Memphis Three--three young men who were wrongfully convicted in the gruesome, brutal murder of three innocent young children in Tenesse. One young man, Damien Echols, was sent to Death Row.

There has been interest throught the years about the absolute travesty of justice of their trials and several books and documentaries, all that I have followed religiously as I always thought the boys were rail roaded. More and more came out about shoddy police work. Famous people like Johnny Depp and Eddy Vedder got involved and lo and behold in Aug. of 1011{I think} the boys wre allowed to plead no contest and walk out with time served. Right--like Tenesse would let someone from DEATH ROW walk if they had ne scintilla of an iota of evidence that he was guilty.. Ok, I'll stop babbling.

There's a new documentary playing but NOT close by and I am a crap driver and couldn't get myself there in the daytime, let alone the dark. Damien will be there to address the audience. So getting back to Mr. St. Clare who kept telling me he didn't think he would be able to take me {and my friends' eyes glaze over when I talk about stuff like this so no one wants to go}--he's probably working from home that day so we can go!!!!!!

Hee is the absolute best.

That's wonderful - it's so nice when they do something over and above the expected for you. My hubby is particularly generous in doing things for me that are really important to me. I'm sure you'll get to return the favor - that's how love goes round!

Awww! I giggled at your Richard Armitage thing. I assume you saw the hobbit then? I could not believe that was him! He looked so... Filled out. He is someone to me that needs facial hair. He's so frail featured otherwise and looks TOTALLY hot with facial hair. Comicon pics... Swoon. Pro headshots? Not so much!

Aw, that's so sweet Amber! I love it when they come through like this...I know it sounds hokey, but I think it's things like this that really make us feel loved and cared about.

Haven't seen it yet--but I probably will this week. My friend saw it couple of days ago and said he plays a hobbit and in real life he's over 6 feet! He's a bit pale, but there's always faux tan or some sunbathing.....clothing optional! :Up_to_something:

I'd take him with or without facial hair, I'm not picky!

Good for you, Amber, love is the ultimate meaning in life, and it sounds like you are a lucky woman indeed! :)

I am indeed. I tell myself daily I am one lucky woman!

I found my glasses--they were way under my bed. I have no idea how they got there!

He's a dwarf, "leader of the dwarves", and has the weird plasticine to make his normally super skinny nose bigger. They did a fantastic job with the height because he is over 6ft I thought and I know that Ian McKellen is too, but obviously they make Ian McKellen look like 8ft tall next to this guy. He had that beard I assume for this role, and then they added extensions. He was really fantastic for this character so I was thrilled that he was cast for it. I think he's smoking hot with a beard and I generally am not a fan of beards. He's also hotter when he's thicker overall.

We thought the movie was fantastic, flew by, and was just beautiful. We didn't see the 3d or HFR, just the "normal".

I recently read Damien Echols book and it was fantastic. He is a very interesting and I think misunderstood guy. I hope you enjoy the movie!

Oh and I think it was West Memphis Arkansas..not Tenn.

The husband offered to go with me, but I wouldn't feel ok drooling over another guy, no matter how he's made up while I'm sitting next to him, so I said no thanks. I will probably take myself on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon since it is playing at my neighborhood theatre. I watch Graham Norton weekly and have been seeing various scenes from the movie and the special effects look INCREDIBLE! I must admit I was never able to get into the books, but the movie sounds enjoyable for various reasons {cough, cough}.

RA was supposed to be on Anderson Cooper's TV show the day of the Sandy Hook massacre and naturally he wasn't. He must have a TERRIBLE impression of America.

He and the rest of the world. Who can blame them.

We felt the movie was gorgeous. It was well done. I am glad they made it into three again, frankly. And they really did a great job with how they handled the LOTR being made first.

Sounds like you have a keeper!! And he tolerates your fantasies!! Mine lets me drool over Jimmy Smits --- he says he doesn't get it, but he lets me remain amused by my daydreams!

AND GREAT UPDATE!! you found your glasses!! that's wonderful!

OK--so I saw the film last night. It was long--2 and !/2 hours {I could hear Mr. St. Clare moan under his breath when the moderater came out and gave the order of the evening: film, break, Q&A answer period. {I'm a little tired, it may be jumbled.}

Warning: Spoilers

The film is a detailed version of how the boys were railroaded into prison with life sentences and for Damien onto Death Row. How alibi witnesses weren't called, how "cult experts" were used, how jail informants were given credence, how Jesse Miskelly, borderline retarded was fed all the information and walked thru a "confession" and finally, years later, when DNA came into play DNA from one of the fathers was found at the scene. How this father was NEVER even interviewed in the days after the three boys were murdered.{see next paragraph} That the knife, that was brandished at the trial as a murder weapon that was found behind Jason's home in the pond behind his house was tossed in by his mother A YEAR BEFORE THE MURDER. I could go on and on.

A geat deal of time was spent on Terry Hobbs, ex husband of Pam Hobbs and step dad of little Stevie. He sued Natalie Manes from the Dixie Chicks and he had to answer questions by her attorneys and they dug up a LOT of information about what an abusive man he was to Pam, Stevie, Stevie's sister and his other wife. He has a criminal record. I inferered, as did Mr St. Clare, that Mr. Hobbs "disciplined" Stevie, it got out of hand and he died, didn't realized the other boys were around and killed them to cover it up.

John Douglas, the profiler from the FBI was interviewed, he went thru the records and concluded that Damien, Jason and Jesse were not the offenders.

Even tho I knew the outcome and watched it unfold on the day the young men pled gulty with the Alford plea and were released, my heart was pounding during the last half hour of the movie, I was that afraid something was going to foul up the resolution. I was happy to see Jesse in the heart of his family, Jason apparently has a girl he's in love with and Damien has Lori, but I didn't feel good at all. I am angry that three boys are dead without justice, that three familes are left without answers, that a murderer is walking around free and three young men have miss 18years of their lives and cannot recoup anything from the state because by giving an Alford plea they admitted guilt all the while aserting their innocence.

Sometims life just sux.
