Thought it would be better to post info in it''s own thread rather than intrude on Loriken''s. I did purchase a small chest freezer (8cubic ft) to save on shipping charges. If I remember correctly, you''re in Calif. and if you decide to try raw & start w/Feline''s Pride, there are several distributors in the state. For mice and quail, if you get to that point, I recommend miceandquail.com a small distributor in my town in southern Oregon. Very nice product. Forgot to mention rawfedcats.org as an info source. There''s good info there on methods to try when converting to a raw diet.

good idea...and maybe others who have gone raw food for their cats can chime in.

there is also a raw food group in san francisco that operates as a cooperative: buy in bulk direct from the farmer/s and contribute volunteer time picking it up and bundling it for pick up by members.

i''d have to buy another freezer as the 2 we have are filled with human food. i think it is well worth doing and do believe it makes for healthier critters.
