What are some of the most beautiful places you've been to, or would like to go? Here are a few of mine:

Yellowstone, Yosemite, Sedona, Joshua Tree, Lake Tahoe, Banff, Venice, Santorini, Zurich

Slovenia, Crater Lake National Park, Plitvice Lakes National Park, PIcos de Europa, Julian Alps, Amazon jungle.

Banff National Park, Canada

Amalfi Coast, Italy

Havasu Falls, Arizona

Sedona, Arizona

Grand Canyon, USA

Niagara Falls, NY

Denali National Park, Alaska

Kodiak Island, Alaska

Maui, Hawaii

Paris, France

Provence, France

Sienna, Italy

Blue Lagoon, Iceland

Great Barrier Reef, Australia

Barcelona, Spain

Seychelles

Hampshire, England

Patagonia, Chile

HI:

All of the wonderful places I cannot go "now"...they are all beautiful and precious. And because of that, I hold dear memories of those (visited) places many people here have mentioned.

Yet haven't been to Australia or New Zealand. I'll get there.

cheers--Sharon

While I enjoy natural beauty, I also really like visiting places where the culture (the people, the language, the food, etc) are very different from my own. These places may not be considered "beautiful," but they feel so stimulating to me they hold their own unique type of beauty. So with that in mind, here's my list:

Petra, Jordan

Istanbul, Turkey

Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Israel

The Golan Heights, Israel (Seeing a real working kibbutz is super neat, and getting to peer across the border into Syria is mind blowing.)

Ancient ruins along the coast of Turkey

Lisbon, Portugal

Prague, The Czech Republic

Being part of the Christkindlmarkt in Berlin/Nuremberg/etc.

Parts of the deep south US: Natchez, MS; Oxford, MS (visiting Hemingway's house)

Parts of the desert south west US (Marfa, TX is particularly weird and wonderful)

Appalachia, US

Here are a few places off the top of my head that I consider some of the most beautiful places I've been::

Big Basin Redwoods State Park (Boulder Creek, California)

Versaille Palace Gardens (Paris, France)

Grace Cathedral (San Francisco, CA)

Piazza Navona (Rome, Italy)

Park Guell (Barcelona, Spain)

That previous answer by Karl is a tough act to follow! But I’ll try with places that come to mind just off the top of my head -

Gold Coast, Australia

Lake Zurich, Switzerland (especially in the summer)

Gulmarg, India

Berlin, Germany (not for anything else but the feeling and the vibe of the city)

There are others but not coming to mind right now.

So lucky to live out West! In the US some of those parks are my favorite. I went to Yellowstone last summer for the first time.
