I recently had the good fortune to be able to travel to Israel with a group of 40 peers/strangers. I ended up with two fabulous roommates which made the trip even better. One of them had a long term boyfriend whom she spoke about often. He was in LA for work at a convention while we were away so she was constantly trying to figure out the time difference to call him or checking his online blog from her Iphone where he keeps a daily journal to read about his day when she didn''t have a chance to talk to him. It was all quite sweet. We spent Friday February 19th in Jerusalem. It was her birthday however we celebrated Thursday night in Tel Aviv due to Shabbat. Just before sundown we got to the Western Wall (also know as the wailing wall) to do a lil Shabbat service/celebration at the holiest site recognized by the Jewish religion. The boys and girls had to spilt up and just before we all went to the wall my dear roommate got a tap on the shoulder... and it was of course her adorable boyfriend. She was STUNNED to say the least crying and asking what he was doing there when he was supposed to be in LA. He brought her a few steps away from the group, told her how much he loved her, dropped to one knee and ON HER BIRTHDAY, in the Holiest city, at the holiest wall on Shabbat asked her to be his wife. All of the girls were of course crying with her at this point, HUNDREDS of people at the wall started singing for various songs of congratulations. It was the sweetest, most sincere, most beautiful thing I have ever had the luck of witnessing. We later found out he never was in LA, his whole blog was created over the last few weeks so that she didn''t catch on, he made a fake agenda to share with his family so they didn''t give it up and that he had been in Israel since Wednesday and flew with 3 lay overs to get out of NYC before they got a huge snowstorm that week. We also found out he had been coordinating with our trip organizer since July to make sure she got to go on the trip during her birthday and coordinated times etc etc to make it all so special. I couldn''t be happier for her as she is one of the most genuine and incredible people I have ever met and I just had to share this story with the wonderful world of Pricescope who I knew would appreciate it. SO without further ado here is her 2.12 ct E color VVS2 clarity gorgeous engagement ring. I only have one picture as she was VERY modest and shy about it
