I''ve narrowed down my diamond choices among princess cuts to a select few. The cut, color, size, clarity, polish, symmetry, table, depth, crown height, ect. are all comparable among all the choices. I guess it is safe to say that these diamonds are all on equal footing. However, these very similar diamonds have different types of inclusions and other characteristics associated with them. My question is: With all other factors in a diamond being equal, in regards to inclusions, which inclusion(s) is(are) the most acceptable? Granted, if we could all have no inclusions that would be great, but for most of us, that is not a feasible option. The various diamonds that I am looking at have the following inclusions/characteristics among them: clouds, pinpoints, feathers, crystals, and surface graining. Which of these is more acceptable in a diamond i.e. which of these inclusions 1) will I have the toughest time seeing with or without magnification? and 2) are safest for the diamond in terms of durability?
